7th Pay Commission Update : Central Government is preparing to give a big gift to central employees and pensioners soon. The government could hike the Dearness Allowance (DA) any day now, which 10 million families are eagerly waiting for. The government will also hike DA by 4 per cent this time, which will be followed by a bumper hike in salaries.
Earlier, the Modi government had dealt a major blow by refusing to pay DA arrears and the 8th Pay Commission. The government has refused to consider the formation of the 8th Pay Commission. After DA, salary will increase fine
If the central government increases DA by 4 per cent, salaries will jump like cheetahs. The DA of central employees will go straight up to 54 per cent, which would be like a big gift. At present, employees and pensioners are getting 50 per cent DA.
If the salary of the employees is Rs 50,000, the monthly increase of Rs 2,000 at 4 per cent DA will be like a big gift. You will see an increase of about Rs 24,000 in a year. Besides, if the salary of central employees is Rs 40,000, the monthly increase will be Rs 1,600 at 4 per cent DA. 19,200 per year, which will be like a gift. The increased rates of DA will be effective from 1 July
Will not get DA arrears
The central government will no longer pay 18 months DA arrears to central employees and pensioners. A government minister in the Rajya Sabha has refused to consider the matter.
